Where to go for a yolky eggs Benedict sandwich, Peruvian pollo a la brasa, and a Thai tea-infused tiramisu More often than not, tipsters, readers, friends and family of Eater have one question: Where should I eat right now? That’s where the Eater Heatmap has customarily come into play, highlighting newcomers showing particular promise and the spots crowds are flocking to at the moment.
Though Montreal’s dining rooms remain closed for the time being, this map highlights those places that have courageously set up shop during the pandemic, adapting their shiny new ideas to takeout so quickly after putting them out into the world.
This month’s map welcomes St-Hubert Street newcomer Pichai and Le Pontiac, the latest venture from restaurateur and radio personality Danny St Pierre. At the same time, we must also bid farewell to the downtown omakase restaurant Okeya Kyujiro and chef Simon Mathys’s Mastard — both still great options, worthy of your patronage.
